Over the Bridge Bed and Breakfast is a detached 18th century grade 2 listed cottage situated at the foot of an ancient Packhorse Bridge in the heart of Ripponden’s picturesque conservation village.
Over the Bridge overlooks the river Ryburn and has its own fishing rights. Nearby is the oldest pub in Yorkshire and also St. Bartholomew’s church
There are some excellent walks to be enjoyed from the village as well as many cycle routes ( bikes available for hire)
After a days activity why not sample some of the numerous pubs and restaurants in the area.
We are in short driving distance of many local tourist attractions including, The Bronte Countryside, home place of the Bronte Sisters, Last of the Summer Wine country, Esholt, the birthplace of Emmerdale and for the more energetic , Manchester and Trafford shopping centre is just 20 minutes away.
Why not make a special occasion of your stay with us , we can provide at an extra cost wine, champagne, chocolates and flowers upon arrival, or let us book you a table for a bar meal at the oldest pub in Yorkshire “The Bridge Inn” dating back to the 1300’s.
